"Do you have homework tonight?"
Me:
"Yeah, English and Statistics. I'm almost done with it."
*boyfriend calls to ask if I want to hang out with him and my best friend*
Me:
"Can I please go? I promise not to stay out too late, and i'll finish my homework when I get back."
Mom:
"No. Your homework's not done."
